Dick, you workaholic, you! Go take your own advice and get som sleep. I bet you want to.

But being a leader - and a friend - comes before personal time to Dick. So he’s off to see Roy who’s watching Cheshire’s trial on TV

'I can't believe she's not still in ponytails.'
Dick about his long friendship with Donna while she’s having exploratory surgery to find out how the pregnancy is going. At the same time someone is playing marionette dolls with them and feeding the entire team thoughts that aren’t heirs, making them doubt themselves and each others.

in my previous post Donna asked if fighting bad guys made Dick happy. At first he gives her a flib answer about loving senseless viloence, but then he says:

'The work, even when I'm off duty, keeps me connected to the world, you know? To everything that really matters to me.’

Donna: ’ You mean justice?”

Dick: ‘I mean you. I mean, I never really fight alone. You’re always with me. Like Wally. Roy. Tim. Everyone I care about. Everyone I’ve ever learned from.’

First Dick taunts the bad guys and now Donna teases him. It’s typical Dick to show off when he has an audience. In this case he’s not showing off for Donna, but she knows who hie is and what he’s capable for. He doesn’t need to show her anything. Although, I suspect that he might show off for her a little too, letting her know he’s got it, even in civvies. Mostly I think it’s the other people he’s showing off for. I’ll comment on Donna’s questioin in my next post where Dick answers her.
