To me, in my own mind—I’m not saying this is going to happen in Batman—but when I think about it, one of the most interesting things, in all those projections of the future [The Dark Knight Strikes Again, Batman Beyond, Kingdom Come], Dick is an enemy of Bruce in some ways. They had a fight or they don’t get along anymore. You never see them friends in the future. To me, there’s something very potent in that. If somebody is going to pull Bruce back from the edge… if someone has to bring Bruce down—I know a lot of people think it’ll be Clark but for me, it’ll really more be Dick. So not to give anything away about what’s going to happen in Batman, but those are things we’re thinking about.
