More hugs to Dick, please.
the butts are just too perfect here.
A while back, someone asked me for pictures of Dick and Babs hugging/embracing, and these were chronologically the first and last pictures I was able to find of them hugging (the first is from Batman Family #9, in 1977; the second is from Detective Comics #881, in 2011.)
Looking at them side by side… I don’t know, I just think it’s an interesting contrast. You can really see the evolution - both in Dick and Barbara’s relationship, and in comics in general. They lost a lot of innocence, and that refers to both the characters and the medium. But there’s also an emotional gravitas to the scene on the right that just isn’t there in the earlier scene.
IDK… I’m rambling a bit, here. I just think it’s interesting to look at how things changed. (And how they didn’t.)
Now this is just sad.

“Their tears of joy don’t stop as they suck in night air. They hug me for a half an hour until they stop shaking. Another day, another life. In the end, that’s all that counts.” —Nightwing

Oh. My. Goodness. Because you realize that HE WOULD let them hug him for half an hour. Because that is just how Dick Grayson does hugs.
Get out Batman. Just get out.
