Nightwing and Starfire
The Teen Titans Meet The Uncanny X-Men
Uncanny X-Men & The New Teen Titans (January 1982)
Art by Walt Simonson & Terry Austin
Words by Chris Claremont
Walt Simonson draws a very pretty Robin (and I’ve always liked it when the colourist really makes the outfit “pop”!)

GUYS I DREW
I DID IT
I’ve been suffering the worst artblock of my life you don’t even understand but I finally smashed through it with… some genderbent young justice, of all things. (?)
Superboy(girl?) gave me a ton of trouble, because, like, he’s such a caricature of masculinity, and it was hard to make him look kind of like himself but also a girl. (I’m not sure I really succeeded. I’m not super pleased with him(her?))
Artemis is always super hard to draw so whatever, I’m over it. With M’gann, I was channeling early 90s TV star hair (think Boy Meets World). Um. Yeah. Whatever. Enjoy.

Sure you will Dick…sure you will…
- Nightwing Year One/Nightwing 104
I had to do this in it’s entirety. I’ve said it before, but I love it when the Robins get alone-time with Gordon. This meeting is a little different than any other meeting between Dick and Gordon though.
Then there are Dick’s flips in this. Gordon’s got to know it’s him just by the way he’s flipping around. His caution is understandable though.
Also, I couldn’t not include Barbara’s little comment at the end there. :)
